Who is responsible for your data?

Slava Nikitin, based in Singapore, operates Engager and is responsible for the personal data processed to provide the service. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@getengager.com.

Summary

Engager finds the LinkedIn conversations your buyers are already in; you join them from your own LinkedIn account, in your own words, at a human pace. To do that we need to store your account details, a connection to your LinkedIn account, and the content the service works with. We collect the minimum needed to run the service. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Our public website also uses DataFast analytics as described below.

What data does Engager collect?

• Account data — your name, email address, and a hashed password, or your Google / Microsoft identity if you sign in with those providers. We never see or store your Google or Microsoft password.
• LinkedIn connection — local Engager uses a browser profile on your Mac. Cloud uses a managed browser profile through Browser Use; session identifiers and connection status live in your tenant database. You sign in to LinkedIn in the browser.
• Content the service works with — posts discovered on LinkedIn for your campaigns, the comments and replies drafted and published on your behalf, comments received on your posts, and basic public profile information about the authors of those posts (name, headline, location) used to decide relevance.
• Knowledge you provide — documents, notes, product descriptions, and writing samples you add so that drafts sound like you and know what you know (your “Brain”). If you point Engager at your website, we fetch and store the pages you choose.
• Usage and billing data — how many drafts and posts the service produced for you, AI usage metering, and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never card numbers.

Website analytics

We use DataFast on our public website to understand visits, page views, traffic sources, and actions such as plan selection and beta booking submissions. Custom goal events include only fixed action labels, the selected plan, and the public page name; we do not attach names, email addresses, or booking details. Its tracking script connects your browser to DataFast and uses cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. Read DataFast’s privacy policy for more information about its data handling.

We also use server-side DataFast tracking for requests identified as crawlers. This reports the requested page path, crawler user agent, and source IP supplied by our hosting platform. We exclude URL query parameters, cookies, authorization headers, and request bodies from these bot-tracking events.

What happens when I book a beta conversation?

Cal.com handles the founder-call calendar and booking form. When you complete a booking, Slava receives your name, email, selected meeting time, and your answers about your product and customer acquisition. These details are used to arrange the conversation and consider a beta invitation. Opening the booking page alone does not submit a beta request. The embedded calendar also connects your browser to Cal.com; its service processes the information needed to display and manage bookings. What about other people’s LinkedIn data?

To find posts worth engaging with, Engager processes publicly available LinkedIn content — posts, comments, and public profile details of the people you engage with. This data is used solely to operate your campaigns (relevance filtering, drafting context, and avoiding over-engaging with the same person), is retained only as long as needed for that purpose, and is never sold, shared for marketing, or used to build profiles for any other purpose.

How is AI involved?

AI features send the content described above — discovered posts, your knowledge documents, your writing samples, and drafts — to AI providers to filter posts and draft comments. Local background AI runs through your own agent subscription; cloud background AI uses Anthropic. If you drive Engager with your own AI assistant (for example through our MCP integration), that assistant’s provider terms apply to what your assistant processes.

Where is data stored?

Local application data lives in Postgres on your Mac. Moving to cloud copies your organization to a hosted Neon database. The cloud control service runs on Vercel and tenant workers run on Fly.io. Cloud browser session data is retained in the browser provider's profile. You can copy your organization back to local operation.

Who do we share data with?

We use the following providers to operate the service and understand website usage:

• Neon — Postgres database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• DataFast — public website analytics.
• Fly.io — cloud worker hosting.
• Browser Use — managed cloud browser sessions.
• Anthropic — managed cloud AI; your chosen agent provider for local AI.
• Stripe — subscriptions, invoices, and payments.
• Resend — transactional email (e.g. queue-refill reminders).
• Google and Microsoft — optional sign-in providers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long do we keep data?

Local data remains on your Mac until you remove it. Cloud data remains stored while your account is active. Canceling cloud hosting or returning to local operation stops cloud work but does not automatically delete the hosted database or browser profile. Contact us to request deletion; we will confirm its scope and completion. Stripe retains billing records under its own policy and applicable financial regulations.

How do I delete my data?

You can manage the LinkedIn connection from Channel and stop work from Settings. Disconnecting a runtime is separate from deleting stored data. To request deletion of your cloud account and associated data, email hello@getengager.com from the address on file. We will confirm completion by email.

Your rights under GDPR / UK GDPR

If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar rights, you may request access to, correction of, portability of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Email hello@getengager.com to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

International data transfers

Our processors operate in multiple regions, including the United States, Europe, and Asia. Your data may be transferred internationally for processing. Contact us for details about the regions and provider arrangements that apply to your cloud account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
